Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
Do you want to be part of the advanced analytics team working with smart service products? We are looking for a self-driven Machine Learning Engineer or Software Developer that will be responsible for the department Vehicle Service Information’s Machine Learning platform – used to create, test and deploy ML algorithms for Scania’s service market.

The department Vehicle Service Information (YS) plays a central role in this journey by providing the information, tools and systems needed to maintain, diagnose, repair and upgrade the products in a qualitative and cost-effective manner.
Your tasks
You will be involved in the entire development process from data collection, to modelling, testing and deployment of ML models in production. You will be responsible for maintenance and further development of what you build, as well as prototyping new approaches and launching ML pilots.
You will work with teams and individuals across Scania’s organisation – from R&D, Sales & Marketing, Commercial Operations to Scania’s Business Units. You will also collaborate with other advanced analytics teams at Scania, as well as with our external research partners within machine learning and predictive modelling.
Your profile
You have a master’s or greater in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Engineering or equivalent and bring the following:
• Experience in Software/ML engineering (or related experience).
• Experience with modern infrastructure, tools and cloud technology (e.g. AWS, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, etc.).
• Experience building and interacting with REST APIs.
• Familiar with GitLab and its CI/CD tool, as well as with general agile software engineering best practises.
In addition, knowledge and experience in the following fields are a plus, but not essential:
• Experience with implementing and maintaining architectures for end-to-end Machine Learning in the cloud.
• Good understanding of ML concepts and tools such as Amazon SageMaker, TensorFlow and PyTorch.
• Experience with big data technologies, like Kafka, S3, Spark, and Hive.
As a person, you are structured, communicative, service-minded and have a proven track record of drive, and working independently and efficiently. You master English fluently in both speaking and writing, as well as understanding Swedish.
