Etraveli Group is looking for an experienced ML Ops Engineer to strengthen our capabilities in operating large scale machine learning solutions.

The core of the technical platform, the Internet Booking Engine (IBE), serves price comparison sites and customers with attractive travel options retrieved from centralised flight marketplaces. Every minute, millions of travel options are automatically assessed, compiled, and re-priced. Intense data analysis, price optimisation, and configuration automation is business crucial. Etraveli Group’s data stock with air search, order, and tactical competition analysis data is impressive and growing rapidly in dimensions and volume.
The team and the role
DSR is a team that creates and delivers machine learning based solutions towards internal stakeholders. At a high level, we ingest billions of trips from search requests and other various requests and process the data through pipelines to produce results such as revenue estimation, conversion analysis or bidding automation.
We are in search of a self-motivated and versatile senior ML Ops engineer with the ability to work in an energetic and interactive environment. You must be a self-starter with a passion for crafting innovative software solutions and as part of our team work closely with our data scientists and data engineers. You will regularly learn and implement new technologies, and play an active role in developing, proving out, and (re)assessment of existing machine learning architectures. You will also be in close collaboration with our DevOps and System Engineers in order to consciously improve our infrastructure and our CI/CD environment and process.
Responsibilities
Design, prototype, refine and maintain Etraveli Group’s ML platform that considers and connects experiments, automation, training, serving, monitoring and data
Together with Machine Learning and Data Engineers design and build automated pipelines that run, monitor, and retrain ML Models for business applications
Support life cycle management of deployed ML apps (e.g., new releases, change management, monitoring and troubleshooting).
Select, evaluate and integrate industry leading systems, applications and tooling that is required for the ML projects, optimizing the architecture for performance and scalability
Improve tracking of models, data, and experiments together with the team
Work directly with Data Scientists and ML Engineers so they have self-service tools to create, deploy, and support new data integrations, feature engineering, modelling and model serving
Design and implement Model and Pipeline validation procedures alongside teams of Data Scientists, Machine Learning and Data Engineers
Plan, communicate and share status updates together with your fellow colleagues, system administrators and platform technology engineers creating synergies and using best practice.

Requirements

Must haves:
3+ years experience with ML Ops or DevOps
Experience of machine learning lifecycle platforms (MLflow / Kubeflow)
Experience of Git, Linux system administration, Docker and Kubernetes
Experience automating builds and deployments through an automation system (Jenkins)
Experience with setting up applications health dashboards using Grafana
Software development experience in Python
Experience with system monitoring and metrics

Nice to haves:
Experience of databases including elasticsearch and MySQL
Experience with running python web frameworks for ML model serving (i.e. Flask)
Experience with large scale data processing using Scala and Spark
Experience working with modern analytics tools and workflows like Snowplow analytics is a plus
University degree in a STEM discipline
