Mobile Engineer

We are now looking for a Mobile engineer to join our video operation team at our office in Stockholm.

What is Hive Video Operations?

When joining the Video Operations team, you will get a chance to be a part of shaping this brand-new team. At the moment the team consist of a Backend Engineer, a Frontend Engineer and the Team Lead, Mohammed Medhat: “My goal is to include and engage each new colleague in the process of creating this brand-new team. The team focuses on proactively ensure success for our customers. The team does this through the testing of our costumers’ customers network video readiness and stream health before an event is held. The testing is being made through a unique capability called silent testing to verify live streaming video events will be successful. In addition to this the team also have a focus on making sure that the customer receives alerts on issues regarding their event in real time, to ensure that their live event runs as smoothly as it can.

Working as a Mobile engineer

As a Mobile engineer you will mainly be focusing on building our application to help our customers fulfill the digital event of their dreams. The application will be used as a problem-solving tool for the customer, it will notify them on issues regarding their events and come with instructions on how to solve them. You will be our first Mobile engineer to join this team and therefore you will be responsible for building this application totally from scratch. However, you will be able to get support and make some collaborative efforts with team members who have some previous experience in Mobile engineering. We want our application to reach all phone bearers and therefore want it to be applicable to both android and IOS.

Previous Experience

- 5+ years of experience in a software engineering role.
- Experience building cross platform mobile applications using React Native, Native Script or a similar technology.
- Deep understanding of JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
- Familiarity with native build tools, like XCode & Gradle, Experience deploying to both the Apple and Play stores.
- Experience in using Redux or similar frameworks to manage application state is a plus.
- Good communication skills in English.
