In Digital Technologies - Mobile, our vision is to enable Volvo Group to accelerate the adoption of Mobile Technologies.
We support the mobile feature product teams so that the deliveries are performed with the right speed, quality, scalability, security, and cost advantages by providing guidelines, processes, tools, re-suable components, and centralizing activities.
We want to be a partner for our internal business stakeholders and help them shape their Mobile strategy. We aim to support them with assessing the business value of the capabilities of Mobile Technologies, by understanding the Mobile trends and capabilities, performing Proofs of Value, and performing benchmarking.
How you could make an impact:
You will be shaping the direction of the Mobile Foundation Product in how it supports the Mobile Strategy. You will make sure the Product team delivers on the organizational expectations. You will be able create the products and services that can be consumed by Mobile Feature Product teams –responding to their needs, as well as collaborating with iOS, Android, and React Native Chapters on Mobile capabilities of the future. You will be reporting to the Head of Mobile & XR in Digital Technologies. This is a managerial role but does not have line responsibility.
You are expected to:
Be responsible for the Mobile Foundational Product roadmap, delivery, and execution of the Product Team
Assure stable and secure deliveries and a healthy work balance
Plan and forecast capacity needs for the Product Team
Be responsible for the roadmap for Mobile Foundational Product, based on the needs from the feature product teams, core platform, and business stakeholders as well as internal team and architect findings
Prioritize the product backlog for the Mobile Product Team
Manage stakeholders. Gather input from the network of community users using the product
Monitor the market trends to be able to suggest the next steps
Partner with Stakeholders, Vendors, Technology & Business teams to achieve defined business outcomes
Ensure that all teams in the Volvo group that produce Mobile solutions are governed and adheres to guidelines and best practices
You will also be a member of the wider Digital Technologies leadership team; we expect you to:
Support the adoption of products by developing a strong value proposition either internally or with our partners
Be a digital technologies ambassador and support cross functional innovation exercises
Demonstrate an inclusive and inspirational leadership
Who are you?
We believe you want to take your career to the next level, working with amazing people around the world. To be successful in this position we believe you have a university degree or equivalent on the job experience leading people, preferably within IT management. The right candidate will be able to think and act strategically but also to operate and implement change tactically when required, dealing effectively with ambiguity, and managing changing priorities.
We think you need to have:
Experience working with business, understanding value proposition
Technical knowledge, knowing market best practices to design the Mobile Product with a solution architect
Able to effectively plan resource needs and prioritize features
Leadership experience in agile environments
Strong written communication skills
Good verbal communicator to connect with stakeholders and team members
Commitment and ability to work in Volvo Groups new way of working
Strong verbal communication skills to manage stakeholder relationships
A big plus is a good understanding of Volvo Group and networking within the organization
Commitment and ability to work in Volvo Group’s new ways of working
