Position Summary:
As a MOCVD GaN Epitaxy Engineer, you will be responsible for improving the materials grown by MOCVD. Primarily, you are responsible for developing the processes that are required by SweGaN’s customers and projects.Your will work in production line as well as provide engineering support. The job would include growth engineering and process development in close collaboration with SweGaN’s production group and device group.
The individual in this position will report to CTO and is responsible for a number of specific tasks as outlined below under responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Perform and document R&D activities in material growth and characterizations.
Define/propose, organize, and validate process developments for the epitaxial growth of III-N materials, turn new ideas into IPs.
Identify process-related and reactor-related issues and effectively utilize internal resource and external resource to solve the issues.
Timely execute process optimisation and development projects.
Transfer the optimised processes to the production group. This includes documenting the processes, giving field trainings, and providing the engineering support.
Teamwork with our device engineers to provide new epitaxial solutions that address the future needs and trends.
Present the development progress/solutions to industrial partners/customers, publish key results.
Actively contribute to the research projects and joint development programs with external partners.
Requirements:
PhD degree/Master’s degree in Material Science/Physics.
Have deep understanding and knowledge in vacuum systems in general, including MOCVDs.
3-year hands-on experience in MOCVD epitaxial growth of III-V materials and material characterizations.
You have project management skills and a strong capability to work independently with a focus on improvement in the process and the tools.
English professional working proficiency.
Strong commitment and sense of responsibility to excellence, attention to detail, and meticulous hand handling.
Ability to develop effective working relationships with staff, peers, and industry colleagues/ contacts in a team environment.
Ability to work with various cultures/backgrounds.
Demonstrated flexibility in adapting to a wide variety of tasks and functions.
Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills with the ability to adapt to change.
