Aurobay is looking for a Model Based Calibration Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with new powertrain control development. You will get engineering tasks that challenge you to continue your technical and personal development with us. Being the central connection point between data scientists and calibration engineers you get to support the development and lead the data collection and modelling of future complex hybrid powertrains. You will be a part of the Data Analysis Methods and Tools team. We are a team of 6 SW Eng. and data scientists in the ART Controls and Diagnostics. Our main task is to develop methods for data analysis and calibration optimization for the other teams within the ART and the entire R&D at Aurobay. Some examples of the team’s deliveries are automation of recurring tasks, DoE and model-based calibration using machine learning methodology with in-house Python toolbox. We also provide education and trainings in statistics, and data analysis and machine learning, Orion and Ascmo.
What will you do?
As a Model Based Calibration Engineer, you will using highly advanced technology for setting up (computers, measurements) to create models, HW, SW, data science and control strategy development. As to be expected with a senior role, no day will be the same with many challenging tasks.
You will support and collaborate with:
- The hardware development with test setups and monitoring, as well with data evaluation and modelling
- The software development with input on control strategy for function development
- Data scientists for data analysis and interface
The work will be performed in our test rigs and vehicles, as well as on the desktop with preparation and post processing etc.
Do you fit the profile?
We believe you have a MSc or PhD in mechanic control, fluid dynamics or computer science. Rewarding if you have a background in internal combustion engines, but not necessary. We also believe you are experienced in programming in Phyton or Matlab.
