The Volvo CE Technology function manage a world wide construction equipment technology organization with over 1500 engineers, technologist, designers and other colleagues. Volvo CE Electrical and Electronic System technology platform is developing Electrical and Electronic Systems for all Volvo CE machines. It is a fast growing technology area, today globally organized in 9 different departments on 7 locations in 6 countries. 4 of the departments are located in Eskilstuna. The E&E Architecture department in Eskilstuna is developing common architectures principles, solutions and sub-systems for all VCE products and supports machine projects with technical competence for Volvo CE Systems. Job Summary: Working with Model Based Systems Engineering, MBSE you will work within the following areas: Develop methods and processes used for MBSE (including the "information-model") Analyze needs for improvements in current processes, methods and tools Find best practise within and outside Volvo Measure the effectiveness of the development method / process Document processes and procedures (process descriptions, training materials) Perform training of the processes, methods and usage of tools Coach projects (different roles, requirements, analysis, design etc) in the use of methods, processes and tools Working with long-term plans for MBSE within E&E Having knowledge within the following areas is preferred but not essential: System development methods in general Model-based approaches in particular (UML, SysML, RUP,) Software development Change Management Knowledge about CMMI and SPICE Qualifications: Engineering degree and/or experience needed in the technology area Experience of model based systems engineering Excellent communication skills Fluent in speaking and writing in English
