Molecular Biologist to iCellate

iCellate develops and provides Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) based diagnostic services in the areas of hereditary cancer, cancer diagnostics and personalized cancer treatment. We provide the in-house developed service GeneMate® which analyzes genomic DNA for increased risk of hereditary cancers and our R&D focuses on liquid biopsy NGS based analyses of circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) and circulating tumor cells (CTC) for personalized cancer treatment and early cancer diagnosis.
We are looking for an experienced molecular biologist who thrives in a laboratory environment to perform laboratory NGS based analysis of clinical samples for our GeneMate® service. You will also work with the development of NGS based workflows in our R&D projects with the aim to take analysis of circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) and circulating tumor cells (CTC) for personalized cancer treatment and early cancer diagnosis to the market.

About the position
Responsibiilities for the position:

• Perform daily laboratory work of clinical samples in the NGS area, including extraction of DNA from saliva and blood samples, as well as library synthesis, quality analysis and bioinformatic analysis.
• Perform laboratory work to develop and validate NGS based workflows in our R&D projects.
• Write and review methods and quality documentation.
• Working with internal procedures according to the international laboratory standard for medical laboratories ISO15189.

Your profile
We are looking for you who have:
• Ph.D , MSc, or BMA in molecular biology, or related field.
• Experience from work with molecular biology such as DNA extraction, nucleic acid amplification, qPCR and ddPCR.
• Experience in working with NGS (Next Generation Sequencing) and related bioinformatic analysis.
• Experience from working with analysis of patient samples in the cancer area and for selection of personalized cancer treatment is a merit.
• Experience of working with automated workflows in molecular biology analyses is a merit.
• Experience from working under ISO15189 or ISO17025 is a merit.
• Good knowledge of English in both speech and writing. Good knowledge of Swedish is a plus.
