Arbetsbeskrivning The objective of the Microsoft SQL Expert Analyst is to resolve remote users IT problems by means of a Remote fix. The Microsoft SQL Expert Analyst (SQLEA) responds to both internal and external clients needing technical support. Main Responsibilities SQLEAs validate customer entitlements and give high level technical support through information gathering, analytical trouble shooting and problem research. . Resolves customer issues using the tools and systems available . Completes follow-on actions as appropriate, e.g. dispatch materials, send communications, escalate problems. . Retains ownership of each case until problem is resolved or resolution is identified . Observes strict compliance to licensing, copyright and trademark legislation . Protects confidential, sensitive information and materials . Accomplishes other duties as required Requirements . Technical requirements: In-depth knowledge of the SQL Server database engine with experience and knowledge of as many of the following as possible: . SQL Server Architecture (Database and Engine Architectures) . Backup and Restore . Disaster Recovery . Server and Database Maintenance . Security . Linked Servers . Replication . DTS and/or SSIS . SQL Server Failover Clustering . SQL Server Locking . Performance Monitoring and Troubleshooting . Client Connectivity Troubleshooting . T-SQL querying. . Good administration skills via T-SQL commands (not just Enterprise Manager) . Relational database design concepts . SQL Server Installation and Configuration Development knowledge and experience with programming languages such as C#, Visual Basic and C++ are beneficial but not required. Experience with Microsoft Access versions 2000 and greater is a big plus. A minimum of 3-5 years experience in IT, remote support experience is preferable.
