About Us:
We at Ericsson deliver the most complete 5G Packet Core offering in the market, including our new cloud native products; Packet Core Gateway (PCG) and Packet Core Controller (PCC).
Included in the Ericsson Packet Core Portfolio, our MSP Product delivers Traffic Detection Functionality enabling a wide range of valuable services and traffic optimization options. Ranging from network and transport protocol layers to application and content-based optimizations.
MSP functionality is both offered stand alone and is also integrated in 5G cloud native products.
Responsibilities:
As an MSP APO you will lead 5G User Plane traffic management and optimization domain development to a number of products, not only MSP, but also EPG and PCG together with GW Gi LAN APO.
You will have close contact with some Tier 1 operators, mainly AT&T but also Swisscom and others. You will cooperate daily with MANA Customer Units and Service delivery teams. In addition to this you will work together with a top of the range team spread in three different countries, Sweden, China and Spain.
This role is a bridge between Product Development and Product Management and its main task and responsibilities include:
Ensure the translation of business strategies to efficient product development
Handle and control the project portfolio to meet the implementation strategy
Product life cycle management.
In this role you will drive strategic technical leadership, prioritizing requirement analysis and implementations.
You will assess requirements return on investment and break them down into the smallest valuable customer deliveries.
And last but not less important, you will drive continuous improvement and help line management in capability and competence assessment for the organization.
Key Qualifications:
We are looking for a proactive communicator, able to adapt the message to the different audiences and contexts, from cross functional teams (XFT) to customers. This role prioritizes the different features for the XFT and defines, together with the extended Leadership Team, the PDU and PDG strategy. Therefore, you will continuously need to get and deliver inputs from/to many partners. You also need to be well-adapted and organized enough to make requirements governance and steering happen fluently and in coherence with an agreed strategy.
We believe you are a curious team worker with a willingness to share knowledge and learn. You have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to abstract and synthesize. You are fluent in English.
Education:
Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate degree in computer science, telecommunication engineering or equivalent.
Competence:
Knowledge of Ethernet Layer 2 networking
Knowledge of TCP/IP Networking and evolution transport protocols, data networks and IP-based applications
Knowledge in Cloud computing technologies such as: virtualization hypervisors, containers and cloud orchestration
Technical understanding and experience with 3G, 4G and 5G packet core networks
Knowledge about traffic detection and policy enforcement
Familiar with EPG / SACC
Additional qualifications:
Experience working with OAM frameworks (configuration models, CLI, interfaces, etc.)
Experience working with standards
