We are working with pre-development of Radio Access Networks and Products for future development projects. We are also working with technology evolution and how to utilize this in meeting the needs of future communication networks and products. It is a very challenging time where the future communication systems might very well look quite different from todays, and we are continuously looking for disruptive ideas or potential paradigm shifts.
The Base Station System design R&D department focuses on innovative ideas for next generation BTS. The work is mainly in the form of pre-studies and/or technology studies. The Sweden R&D centre is a global Massive MIMO and multi-antenna BTS competence centre.

Background for ?Massive MIMO? Base Station (information)
One of the most promising techniques to increase MBB network capacity without increasing power consumption is massive MIMO. These new multi antenna base stations that will support massive MIMO have many transceivers and antenna elements and require a completely new way of build base stations that are more like a multi-purpose radar antenna then a conventional base station.

Responsibilities (two alternative profiles)
Mechanical background from ?radar? like antenna building practice
Generate, guidance and evaluate innovative ideas for next generation multi antenna base stations (Massive MIMO) building practice. Responsible areas are mechanical antenna structure that includes modularity, cooling, weather protection (IP class), interconnect, and PCB techniques.
High requirements to be able work effectively independently as well as a team leader and/or team member.
RF background from ?radar? like antenna building practice
Generate, guidance and evaluate innovative ideas for next generation multi antenna base stations (Massive MIMO) building practice. Responsible areas are RF building practice with antenna, RF, PCB techniques, cooling and high speed data interfaces.

Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience within the area of RF or ?radar? antenna mechanical building practice
Creative and pro-active.
Understanding the customer?s business and how to contribute to the customer?s success

Education
A Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent background is required.

Other
The candidates should have highly developed skills in finding new innovative solutions, strategic vision as well as leading and driving activities. Prior experience from international and multicultural work is preferred. As we are a global company the candidate must be able to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing.
