Lynk&Co Design is part of Geely Design Global, a multi-cultural organization with seven well-equipped studios in Shanghai, Gothenburg, Barcelona, Kuala Lumpur, Coventry, Hethel and Los Angeles, with total staff of approximately 900. These design studios, with top class design teams and the latest tools in design development, are responsible for the creation of a unique design language for each of Geely's brands; Geely, Lynk & Co, ZEEKR, Proton, Lotus and London Taxi.
We are a fast-growing team of both creative and management professionals with the task of delivering exciting global products suitable for volume production and innovative concepts. As a Specialist Designer CMF you are contributing to shape the future sustainable CMF palate for Lynk & Co and Zeekr brand.
What you will do:
- Be part of a CMF specialist team that are responsible for all material developments for Lynk & Co and Zeekr brand. We’re talking about all colours and materials you see on a car and inside a car.
- Kick off material developments with suppliers based on identifying needs / gaps in CMF collection.
- Create aesthetical and informative design briefs to suppliers and follow up.
- Constantly scout new innovations and suppliers with a strong focus on sustainability and new technologies, supporting the advanced collection work.
- Conduct benchmark and research, having a fact-based approach.
- Work in close collaboration with other specialists, lead designers and CMF studio engineers.
- Support in visualizing the CMF collection for internal stakeholders incl. prototyping.
- Liaise with engineering teams, mainly in China.
- Part of CMF community doing non project assignments, creative contributions to work shops and CMF strategies.
Essential qualifications:
- At least 5 years’ experience working as a designer (or design engineer) doing material developments, can be from any design/manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge from design process and methodology.
- Advantage if you have experience from prototyping and/or manufacturing.
- Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite and VRED with ability to visualize and communicate ideas effectively in 2D and 3D. Other software like Substance, Key Shot, Rhino is also valuable.
- Fluent in English. Knowledge in Mandarin is an advantage.
