Museum Director in Training

Museum Director in Training

Arbetsbeskrivning

The Disgusting Food Museum is an experience museum oriented around different food that is considered strange or even disgusting by most people. We have collected and put on display numerous dishes and edible foods from all over the world, most of them thought-provoking, eye-opening or just plain odd.
As the Museum Director in Training at the Disgusting Food Museum, you will be a part of our 2-year plan to open a new museum somewhere in a European city, outside of Sweden. Your primary goal will be to work and learn in cooperation with our team to eventually have everything you need to be able to run the new museum. Being such a unique concept it is of utmost importance to build a deep understanding of who we are as a company and what we do from the very ground up. As such your training will be divided into steps and you will start where we all have started - as a Tasting Bar guide.
Key Responsibilities and training steps:
Step 1: Work as a Tasting Bar Guide to gain an understanding of the day-to-day operations of the museum
Step 2: If all works well, move on to operational responsibilities
Step 3: If all works well, move on to shadowing the CEO
Step 4: If all works well, move on to an active role in setting up the new site
Step 5: If all works well, move on to running the new museum as the local Museum Director

Who are you?
You are a natural, but humble leader. Our company is a warm hearted one and we put a lot of value in creating a positive work environment for everyone

You are results driven, yet understand that a motivated staff is what drives those results
Customer service is second nature to you
You are passionate and have a desire to learn and grow
You are able to work independently and take direction when needed
You have strong communication skills, both written and verbal
You are fluent in either Spanish, French, or Italian
You have a deeper understanding of the culture of either Spain, France, or Italy, respectively (as those are the countries we are most actively looking to expand into)
You are willing to relocate when the training is complete
You might be what others consider an ‘Oddball’ or you find the idea of doing things differently appealing

What we offer:
The opportunity to be a valued part of a multicultural, warm-hearted, and unique workforce
A trial-based full-time position, with the potential to become the Museum Director of our next installment
All training and education is made in-house
