MYP Individuals and Societies (I&S) Teacher and English Language and Literature Teacher
Description of Position:
International School of Karlskrona offers both the IB, PYP (Primary Years Program) and MYP (Middle Years Program). 
We are now seeking a professional and passionate MYP Individuals and Societies (I&S) and English Language and Literature teacher who wishes to be a part of the continued development of our school. The successful candidate has a desire to work within an IB environment and has experience in teaching Individuals and Societies (I&S) and English Language and Literature (L&L). Additionally, the ability to teach other subjects, or take on other responsibilities supporting our program, is welcomed.
Additional duties include:
Collaborative Unit Planning/meetings
Creating/Utilizing varied forms of IB assessments to inform teaching and learning practices
Developing and maintaining a positive learning environment
Being professional in your conduct towards students, colleagues, and other stakeholders
Commitment to improving the teaching and learning of a diverse and inclusive community of students



Qualities of a successful applicant
Must have a teaching degree and a teaching license
IB, MYP experience is ideal, however, a desire to work in an IB environment is a must
Proactive team player in a new and growing IB school
Lifelong learner and internationally-minded
Practices differentiated instruction
Teaches with an interdisciplinary approach
Demonstrates a constructivist approach to pedagogy, including inquiry-based teaching and learning as well as teaching for conceptual understanding
Excellent and fluent communication skills in verbal and written English
Role-models all IB, Learner Profile traits, such as being Caring, Open-minded, Inquirer, Reflective, and a Communicator.
