RISE Bioscience and materials is searching for a Senior Researcher with expertise in nanocellulose and nanocellulose composite preparation/manufacture and valorization. Your main responsibilities will be to initiate new research and development projects relating to the manufacture, further processing and end use of different types of nanocellulose based materials/composites. This will include initiating, formulating and structuring R&D projects in collaboration with customers. In this position, you will also collaborate with researchers in other areas like, process technology, surface chemistry and new materials and material characterization. You will work with advanced characterization methods like AFM and SEM as well as with different manufacturing technologies. As this position is a senior roll, you are expected to have a well-established external network and to actively communicate with existing and potential clients on a regular basis.
Qualifications
PhD in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
At least 5 years of post-doctoral work in the field including industrial experience.
An in depth understanding of the state of the art regarding nanocellulose research and valorization.
Experienced in using relevant advanced material characterization techniques.
A team player with the ability to lead others and to work independently.
Excellent written and spoken English and a working knowledge of Swedish.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
