As the National Head of Continuous Improvement you will be part of leading the Kuehne+Nagel Contract Logistics organization and serve as a subject matter expert in the Lean Six Sigma methodology and mindset. You will be responsible for working with internal partners to drive service and productivity improvements across the business. You will be a role model in terms of Lean Six Sigma knowledge, experience and change management.




Your Role


You will be both tactically and strategically responsible for leading and executing the national Production System Program and Continuous Improvement culture through the ongoing integration of Production Systems for all operations within Contract Logistics. You will have an integral part to play in driving a culture that delivers collaborative working, engagement, added value and continuous improvement.




Your Responsibilities
Lead and develop the team of dedicated national and site-based Black- and Green Belts. Provide training, support, coaching and mentoring to managers, Green-, Black- and Lean Belts in their process improvement projects to ensure successful project implementation.
Define and deploy the national Continuous Improvement strategy and targets in cooperation with CL management. Secure solid project pipeline and subsequent delivery, both improvements and innovation projects.
Lead assigned project teams to effectively solve complex problems and insure sustained improvement and effective application of the Lean and Six Sigma methods.
Validate savings with P&L owners. Drive and monitor the deployment of global Production System initiatives (e.g. Deep Dive
Value Stream Analysis, GRIP (Productivity Management System)).
Strive to become a data led organisation that supports decision-making. Provide support to the business development pipeline and solutions to offer integrated solutions to end customers



Your Skills And Experiences
Broad strategic thinker, with clear vision and direction of world class change management
Passionate about Six Sigma methodologies as a strategically critical business philosophy. Preferably, Black Belt Certified.
University degree within Engineering (MSc) in Logistics, Industrial Engineering or similar
Good working knowledge of the principles and philosophies of total quality management and high-performance work systems
Respected and trusted leader with a proven track record of achievement, solid technical skills, and a reputation as a leader of change
Works well in team environment with sound negotiation and problem solving skills and willing to travel across sites.
Strong interpersonal capabilities and the ability to teach and mentor cross-functionally with other leaders and belts.
Understands local language or willingness to learn.
Able to translate national level targets to practical objectives at operational level
Build a trusting and intellectually engaged team culture
