The National Sales Manager Pharma is responsible for all sales in the product groups assigned to the Pharma area. The main task is to achieve the yearly sales and profitability targets. To achieve the yearly sales and profitability targets the National Sales Manager Pharma shall ensure that the strategies for the individual product groups, outlined by Pharma Marketing Team, are translated into effective sales activities by the sales teams. The sales team consists of two Regional Sales Managers with a team of Product Specialists and a Senior Key Account Manager with a team of KAMs.
In addition to the sales responsibility the National Sales Manager Pharma is responsible for all HR related matters. This includes yearly objective and bonus target setting, coaching and performance monitoring of his/her direct reports and for managing all HR related activities, such as recruitments, time management, etc. within Pharma Sales area.
The National Sales Manager Pharma is part of the management team and will report to the Country Manager Sweden.
Main Accountabilities
Draft and execute annual sales activity plan together with the sales team to achieve yearly sales and profitability targets
Monitor monthly sales and profitability development for Pharma product portfolio
Ensure timely and efficient pre- and post-tender work
Ensure timely feedback from sales teams on marketing material to ensure all marketing material meets the customers and sales teams needs
Outline yearly development plan for the direct reports to ensure continuous development of necessary skills
Outline yearly sales conference plan, both internal and external
Collect ideas from Pharma sales teams for new projects and/or products to be launched and present these to Management team in monthly management meeting
Be an excellent leader and motivator for all personnel with Pharma sales team
Experience and Qualifications
Education at university level or similar degree in relevant disciplines, such as for example business administration, marketing, medicine, pharmaceuticals, nutrition physiology, nursing, etc.
Minimum 5 years of experience in sales management with personnel responsibility
Experience/knowledge of basic finance would be an advantage however not mandatory
Fluent in Swedish and English (oral and written)
Valid driver’s license for vehicles class B (B-körkort)

The position is initially a temporary employment with a view to become permanent employment if both parts agree after 6 months. The position is placed in Uppsala.
