Nature guides/hosts to Tromsø Ice Domes

Tromsø Ice Domes As, Øverbygd (Norway)

We are currently looking for nature guides/hosts to join our team in Northern Norway for the upcoming winter season of Dec 1, 2021 -- Mar 31, 2022.

As a nature guide/host you will have several different tasks.

You will...

... take guests out snowshoeing to talk about the wildlife that you see and teach them how to make a fire in the snow.

... do northern light tours in our camp where you talk about northern lights and show them how to take good northern light pictures.

... be guiding groups of tourists inside our ice hotel where you tell them stories about the art on the walls (Sami culture, Viking age, trolls etc.)

Maintenance work in the ice hotel is part of your daily routine as well as being a host for the guests, help serving meals and clean our facilities.

As a person, you should be flexible and social, able to talk to bigger groups.

All guided tours are in English and if you know another language it will probably be very useful since we have guests from all over the world. Knowledge in following subjects is a plus: nature, Viking history, outdoor life, Scandinavian- and Sami culture.

Our working environment is always below freezing, so people who do not like the cold might want to think twice before applying.

You will be guaranteed a full-time employment where some weeks you work more and some less. We offer the possibility to rent a room. Having a car of your own is recommended since the location of the ice hotel is 1,5 hours away from Tromso which is the biggest nearest city.
