Sandvik Materials Technology (SMT) is a business area within the Sandvik Group and a leading world manufacturer of high-value-added products in stainless steel materials, special alloys, metallic and ceramic resistance materials and process systems.Product areas comprise Tube, Strip, Wire and Heating Technology, Process Systems and MedTech.An extensive change programme for New Product and Process Development (NPPD) is currently underway at SMT as a part of the SMT Business System.There is an urgent need to strengthen our team with an experienced change manager, a Navigator, who is interested in working with the implementation of the change process within SMT.The position is based in Sandviken.Key performance areas The responsibilities of the Navigator within the change programme include planning and running change initiatives at SMT globally by: -Coaching a market segment or Product Area/Product Unit on idea generation and business case development -Introducing the LEAN Product Development System processes and tools -Coaching the organization in the change process -Continuously refining Future State, Project Model and NPPD Academy material -Holding Future State workshops and audits -Running workshops and audits on LEAN Research and Development using a three-step model Your profile You hold a Master's degree in Engineering or Business and possess good insights into New Product Development which has been gained from hands-on experience.Preferably at least five to ten years experience of project management, product management, production or relevant management positions in order to ensure that we gain the valuable experience required to drive the change programme in an efficient manner.Knowledge and experience concerning LEAN product development or LEAN production is definitely a plus.Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken are required.As a person you are a respected and skilled communicator and a team player as well as being a role model for the organization.Self confidence and commitment to deliver and meet deadlines are essential in this change programme.Other skills required include high problem-solving capacity, a strong analytical mind and the ability to comfortably handle complex issues.
