Need Planner

At IKEA of Sweden (IOS), in Älmhult, we create the global product range and steer our global purchasing based on our business idea to offer a wide range of well designed, functional home furnishing products at prices so low that as many people as possible will be able to afford them. The Need Planner organisation is looking for people with a problem solving approach, a desire to challenge established working methods and a wish to be part of a fast-growing business.

The Assignment
As a Need Planner you will be globally responsible for balancing the customer need against supplier capacities. Your role is essential when it comes to securing availability for our end customers. In your new assignment you will have the opportunity to work in a global scene, working through and with supply colleagues around the world to achieve common goals. In order to be successful, it is important that you are comfortable in taking the lead and that you are able to operate efficiently in a high-energy and dynamic environment.

Is this your next challenge?
To be successful in this role we believe that you have;
- 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to think conceptually
- Ability to work with a holistic perspective, from supplier to customer, as well as the capability to be in the fine details
- Capability to work both tactically and operationally
- Excellent English communication skills

As a person you enjoy challenges, to perform, take actions and being results driven. You find your drive in problem solving and handling parallel work on many different issues. You enjoy working in a structured way according to fixed time frames and deadlines. Preferably you have experience from working with people and driving assignments remotely, a background in supply chain/production planning is also a plus. You have the capability to motivate and inspire people as well as the ability to communicate in a clear, structured and honest way. You like to lead and take responsibility within your assignment and have a desire to collaborate with others around you.
