We are searching for Need Planners - talented people with the aspiration to join us now or over the next 12 months!

At IKEA of Sweden (IOS), in Älmhult, we create the global product range and steer our global purchasing based on our business idea to offer a wide range of well designed, functional home furnishing products at prices so low that as many people as possible will be able to afford them. The Need Planner organisation is looking for people with a problem solving approach, a desire to always improve established working methods and a wish to be part of a fast-growing business.

The Need Planner role
As a Need Planner you will be globally responsible for balancing the customer need against supplier capacities. You plan the goods flow in the product change process (both phasing in and out of products), communicate and handover this plan to Purchasing and Supply Teams for execution. The Need planner leads initiatives together with IKEA?s Regional Supply Teams in order to identify potential overstock and out of stock situations and to act on deviations outside the lead-time.

Is this your next challenge?
To be successful in this role we believe that you;
* Have 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably from driving assignments remotely
* A background in supply chain/production planning is a plus
* Have a university degree in business/economics/logistics
* Strong analytical skills and a problem solving approach
* Are enjoying to work in a structured way towards fixed time frames and deadlines, driving assignments remotely
* Have the ability to see the holistic perspective, from supplier to customer, as well as the capability to be in the fine details.
* Are comfortable in taking the lead and in motivating and inspiring others
* Enjoy working towards fixed time frames and deadlines, driving assignments remotely
* Have excellent English communication skills

As a person you find your drive in problem solving and in handling parallel work on many different issues. Furthermore, it is important that you are comfortable in taking the lead and that you are able to operate efficiently in a high-energy and dynamic environment. You communicate in a clear, structured and honest way. You like to lead and take responsibility within your assignment and have a desire to collaborate with others around you. It is essential that you to drive the business through people and have the ability to work on a both a strategic as well as an operational level. You lead by example and have the ability to bring out the best in your team and the different organisations/stakeholders you encounter.
