Network Engineer

Since early 2000, we have supported our clients on a fixed number of projects, all over the world. Our consultant pool consists of Swedish and non-Swedish consultants within the fields of embedded systems telecommunication, online solutions and application development. Now we are looking for a Network Engineer.
Responsibilities:
Document the network architecture, test and evaluation plan and procedures
Conduct tests and evaluation of existing network systems (both wired and wireless)
Perform regular maintenance to ensure that networks operate correctly
Troubleshoot local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and internet systems
Install, inspect, secure, and troubleshoot networked devices such as WIFI access points, edge switches and firewall policies.
Monitor network access for bottlenecks, security threats, or connectivity problems.
Configure and maintain security devices to ensure company software, systems, and data safety.



Required qualifications:
BSc in relevant field
5+ years of experience in network management
Certifications (CCNP or JNCIP-ENT)
Excellent oral and written English skills
Experience in the following tools and methods:
Configuration management (Ansible, Puppet, or Salt)
Ability to use git or another version control system
Scripting experience (Python or similar)
Previous experience of maintain a WAN and LAN
IP addressing and Subnetting
Routing protocol (BGP and OSPF)
Switching Concepts and Layer 2/3 technologies (MLAG, LAG, LLDP
Network Address Translation (PNAT, SNAT, etc.)
Network Security
VOIP
Wireless Essentials
Routers, Switches, Firewall and Data center Introduction.
The ability to convey complex technical configurations using layman terms in English.
Communicate with vendors, and other information technology professionals, requiring communication in both technical and non-technical language.
Work independently as well as in collaboration with others.
The ability to lift and transport heavy network equipment such as switches and routers, travel to other client`s sites in Lund, or install networking cables or devices.
