Background
Alfa Laval is currently undergoing a digital transformation across multiple areas. The Operations Development team supports Operations in making sustainable improvements in performance and achieving key goals. The Factory Network project is part of our Smart Manufacturing program and aims to equip our factories with a secure IT/OT infrastructure characterized by high availability and performance. As the Factory Network solution is implemented in an increasing number of factories, the need for IT/OT network-related tasks and further development has created an opening for this position in the central team.
Your Opportunity
As a Network Technician, your role is pivotal in creating and supporting secure, independent network environments tailored to our factory settings. You will ensure these networks operate autonomously, with high availability, supporting our factory operations effectively and securely.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
* Design, support, and maintain network infrastructure devices and services for factory settings, ensuring independence from the main IT infrastructure.
* Provide IT network support specific to the unique requirements of factory operations.
* Enhance operational efficiency by improving information flow within the factory setting.
* Participate in projects aimed at enhancing network independence and security within the factory environment.
* Uphold stringent IT Security practices within the factory network environment.
* Motivate, communicate, and train personnel within the specialist area.
* Participate in audits, training events, competence networks, etc., within the specialist area.
Who You Are

What You Know
You have an academic background at the university level, along with more than 3 years of work experience. You are well familiar with operational critical applications within manufacturing industries.
* Practical experience in designing, implementing, and administering networks in a factory or industrial setting.
* Certifications in networking infrastructure disciplines (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) are preferred.
* Strong understanding of networking principles and concepts, especially in secure, independent network environments.
* Proficient in managing Cisco devices through SSH on both IOS and IOS XE platforms.
* Experience with Industrial Control Systems (ICS), Operational Technology (OT) networks, and micro-segmentation.
* Familiarity with IEC 62443 standards for Industrial Automation and Control Systems (IACS) is preferred.
* Strategic IT planning, project management, and systems analysis skills, with a focus on supporting factory network independence and security.
For this position, English is mandatory. Swedish is preferred, and other languages are a plus.
