Network Technician - Linux OS

JOB DESCRIPTION The IT-Group is an internal service organization working with IT infrastructure solutions.Our services extend over phases from analysis - design - implementation - operation & support.Our goal is to provide and maintain a secure, reliable and effective IT infrastructure according to Axis needs.The IT-Group is looking for a network technician with experience in system administration of Linux OS.Your main working task will be to support and maintain the R&D department's lab environments.You will work closely with our R&D department and your work will involve: Maintaining and supporting hardware and software in lab environments Plan, coordinate and implement changes on workstations, Linux servers, routers and switches Troubleshooting and problem solving Acting as speaking partner to R&D for lab solutions JOB QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for a service-minded an communicative team player with an educational background in IT and experience in network and system administration.It's important that you have working experience and knowledge of different kinds of computer network environment and experience from working in both Windows and Linux environments.Furthermore we believe you have: good knowledge about TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, WLAN, firewalls, proxies, routers and switches linux system administrator competence (Debian is a bonus) knowledge about Shell or Perl scripting is meritorious as also Python, buildbot and IPv6 excellent writing and speaking abilities in English and Swedish WHAT CAN AXIS DO FOR YOU?This is a great opportunity to use and develop your skills as part of an exciting, successful organization, already the world leader in network video.Come join us!READY TO ACT?Axis is a company realizing the benefits of a diverse workforce.We know that diversity in groups creates a better working environment and promotes creativity, something that is fundamental for our success.
