Head of Product Design – Volvo Cars, Gothenburg, Sweden
At Volvo Cars we are committed to being pioneers in the protection of people and planet. We believe that we can use our platform as a safety, sustainability and human-centric leader beyond our core product of cars.

We are looking for an experienced design manager to turn this vision into reality by leading the development of a new generation of accessories and broader non-car products.

You will be responsible for developing and executing on the product design strategy working alongside the design leadership team. You must be a great collaboratorator be it with stakeholders across the business, the wider design team whose resource you will draw from as well as external suppliers and collaboration partners. 

You will need to bring experience in leading and developing a team of designers ranging in expertise and experience, a deep understanding of product design from to final execution delivery and possess excellent communication skills – both verbally and visually.

Experience in the management of design, as well as managing designers, is required. Automotive experience is not – we are looking for those who share our passion for sustainability and great design rather than aspiring car designers.
