Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.At the Quality department within Purchasing, we are responsible to ensure that our suppliers meet our high-quality level as a premium brand.

We are a team of dedicated supplier quality engineers with different backgrounds that have a genuine interest in technology, enjoy working in an international environment, and together with our suppliers continuously improve within the quality area. Our team is part of the Purchasing organization and responsible for quality assuring our suppliers and since we belong to the Scania purchasing department we cooperate very closely with our purchasing colleagues. This gives us strength in sharing experiences and knowledge.
Who are you?
You have a positive mindset but also a realistic approach to problems. (As SQA:s, we hope for the best but prepare for the worst). You are a quick learner and believe that everything can be improved. We expect you to speak up when you do not agree, even when you might be the only person in the room with a different opinion. That some people think you are stubborn is just a plus to us. You enjoy solving problems and learning from mistakes in order to avoid them in the future.
We also see that you have:
• An academic degree or other relevant education/work experience
• Experience working with sheet metal parts is an advantage
• Fluent knowledge of the English language in speech and writing
• Swedish is a merit
• Previous experience in a global organization is an advantage
What to do?
In this role, you will be an important contributor when it comes to supplier selections in new sourcing cases. You will follow the suppliers through the projects and make sure that they are fulfilling Scania requirements as well as monitor the suppliers’ performance toward Scania production. All of this you will do together with Scania purchasing, Research & Development, Scania production, and of course, our suppliers.
