News coordinator for Editorial Office

Vattenfall Business Services Nordic is an internal provider of support functions for the Vattenfall Business Units within the Nordic region.We are a shared service center, and our mission is to deliver cost effective and value added services to the Nordic Business Units and Business Group functions. ComServices Editorial Office seeks a News coordinator ComServices provides communication services within Vattenfall Nordic and to Group Communications.We currently provide editorial services for both internal and external internet channels, media monitoring, analysis and intelligence services plus market communication services. ComServices Editorial falls under Vattenfall Nordic and parts of the group wide editorial office.We produce content for websites and publications and manage several Vattenfall websites.We are now seeking a News coordinator for our Editorial Office Your role You will be responsible for the evaluation and coordination of news across all editorial office channels.You are the Editorial office point of entry for reactive news.You are fully conversant with Vattenfall activities, strategic aims and the strategies and target groups of the various channels.You will also support Editorial in understanding and achieving the strategic communication aims.You will coordinate Editorial media provision and lead the media provision team members.You will be in daily contact with communication heads and function managers within communication.In consultation with other members of Editorial, you will be responsible for and manage coordination of the communication flow as effectively as possible. The head of news is the unifier for news/events events of interest to several groups.Where time permits, you can also produce your own material.The head of news reports to the head of editorial.About you You are a trained journalist/communicator (e.g.JMK, IHM, IHR, RMI Berghs) with extensive experience of working in an editorial office in a senior capacity.You also have operational experience of media issues.You thrive in a fast changing environment with several parallel contacts As an individual you have plenty of initiative and are a problem solver, work well with other people, goal oriented and able to take responsibility.We consider experience of working in large organisations as an advantage.Fluent spoken and written English is a must.Finnish or Danish would be very advantageous.You will play an active role in developing One Editorial Office, supporting Vattenfall's aims and being a part of developing Shared Services.At Vattenfall we strive to keep our workplaces drug and alcohol free, which is why we perform pre-employment substance abuse testing.
