NGS specialist

TATAA is a fast-growing company with two decades of history and is recently backed by a life sciences investment firm. The company is comprised of a team of scientists providing laboratory services, products and education / training services across a broad range of nucleic acid analysis technologies including PCR, NGS and proteomics. The company serves a variety of pharma, biotech and academic customers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to get involved early on in setting up TATAA for its next phase of growth.

ARBETSUPPGIFTER
We are looking for an experienced and service minded expert in experimental Next Generation Sequencing

Placement and responsibility
• Position is within TATAAs Commissioned Services unit reporting directly to the department Head.
• Plan, execute and report NGS projects
• Support sales and marketing team in companys NGS offerings
• Support and train younger colleagues in NGS
• Instruct in TATAA courses on various aspects of NGS workflows

Work tasks
• Plan and execute customer projects based on NGS workflows
• Setup and optimize NGS workflows
• Support sales team preparing customer offers for sequencing applications
• In collaboration with TATAAs Bioinformatics team analyze and interpret NGS data, summarize and report results
• Support TATAAs R&D team developing methods and tools for NGS analyses
• Set up validated methods based on client instructions/requirements
• Report projects to client
• In collaboration with TATAAs course coordinator and other experts develop training courses related to NGS
• Instruct in TATAA courses as NGS expert

Who are you?
• You have biotech, biology, technology or medical degree from University
• You have a PhD or equivalent experience
• You are knowledgeable in nucleic acid analyses
• You have excellent knowledge and practical experience working with NGS
• You have good analytical competence
• You are quality oriented
• You have extensive experience of laboratory work and enjoy working in laboratory
• You have good writing and oral communication skills in English
• You are result oriented and used to work independently
• You are a team player and can see how your responsibility fits into the companys overall business activities.
• You have interest in standardization, guidelines and quality control
• You enjoy teaching


KVALIFIKATIONER
