Snowdrop is a powerful game engine that enables Ubisoft content creators to set their creative minds free. Fast and flexible, Snowdrop gives developers innovative tools designed from the ground up for creating the unknown. Snowdrop provides the perfect canvas for game developers to paint the games of the future.
Working in our editor technology team, your primary focus will be to ensure structured continued development of our inhouse engine Snowdrop™. You will be part of a friendly team of twelve programmers who demonstrates technical transparency and close collaboration to achieve the goals.
As a tool programmer (node system) you will have centralized code ownership for the user-interfacing part of the node system. This is a key position with the goal to provide clarity for projects and their developers where to turn to for requests and questions. You will have a clear ownership inside the team, to be the one central point for core development and a roadmap where we want to take the system with the needs of the projects as focus.
You will enable to relieve node programmers on the projects to put their focus on making the best game possible and to be the bridge between game projects.

What you’ll do
Working in C++ on our integrated editor/game development tools
Designing, implementing, and iterating on new and existing systems and tools
Developing Snowdrop as a shared and complex ecosystem for video games creation
Developing and maintaining a node system and tools shared through Snowdrop
Supporting multiple teams around the world with knowledge and practical help
Working towards improving documentation and samples

Qualifications
What you’ll bring
We are looking for an experienced curious programmer who wants to investigate our codebase and engine to find strengths and weaknesses. Then, take pride in taking it to new levels! We believe you have experience with codebases of extensive size and that you have worked with new and old code of varying quality. Besides the above we’re looking for someone who is well organized, aligned with our core values and the following skills and experience:
Professional high competence in C++
Experience working with Node graph pattern and data driven engines (Node Graphs, Unreal Engine Blueprint, etc.)
Worked with software related to game engines
Worked with software development closely with the software users
