KDAB, the world s largest independent source of Qt knowledge, provides consulting and mentoring for developing Qt applications from scratch as well as expertise in porting from all popular and legacy frameworks. We offer Qt trainings and have trained 50% of commercial Qt developers globally. Our software products increase Qt productivity. For our head office in Hagfors, Sweden, we are looking for a Qt Software Engineer who will work as part of a cross-functional team working closely with management and with some of the most talented and experienced developers in the Qt industry. The ideal applicant should be a highly motivated individual who is good at communicating and working within teams. He/she should also have the ability to plan and carry out programming tasks to required levels of quality even when working with tight deadlines. Required Skills - Strong design, development, debugging experience with multi-platform C++ desktop application is mandatory. - Qt and QtCreator experience is mandatory - Be a Nokia Certified Qt Developer. - Development experience in Windows, Mac, and Linux environments including shell scripting. - Experience working with open source code base such as KDE would be a plus. - Good analytical ability to deal with refactoring and extending complex C++ legacy systems. - Knowledge of CMake build system - Deep knowledge of the Qt Graphics View framework. - Have experience with working in distributed teams who have a passion for dealing with challenges - Ability to think creatively about dealing with problems - Experience in working with the demands of a highly distributed team -A team player -Able to communicate fluently in English. -Constant communication with our Brazilian development partners is part of the work, therefore fluency in reading and writing Portuguese is highly desirable.
