SAS is enhancing the operating model and has established a new AOC registered in Sweden.
SAS Link will be the name of the airline operating a future in-house regional and midsized E195 aircraft fleet. SAS Link is a vital platform for SAS to continue as infrastructural provider in Scandinavia that links traffic on smaller routes, that are not feasible to operate with a large jet aircraft, with our broader network for global accessibility. SAS Link will operate under the SAS brand and customer promise.
We are now looking for a nominated person Ground Operations to SAS Link.

The Nominated Person Ground Operations has the authority and responsibility for the management and supervision of the activities within the scope of Ground Handling and Cargo Operations.
The NPGO is responsible for delegation of authority and assignment of responsibilities, establishment of reporting channels and communication within SAS and with suppliers.
You will be a part of the management team at SAS Link and report directly to the CEO at SAS Link, located in Stockholm.
Main responsibilities
• Ensure a management system
• Establish, maintain and publish a safety management system for continuous identification and evaluation of risk exposure and consequent mitigation of risks
• Establish, maintain and publish a quality management system, excluding compliance monitoring, for quality control and supervision
• Comply with the security program (SEC)
• Ensure proper and efficient use of financial funds
• Promote the safety policy
• Establish, amend, distribute and control GOM, subordinated manuals and ground operation information
• Responsible for corrective action implementation resulting from audits conducted under the compliance monitoring program
• Develop, approve and follow-up service level agreements with handling agents, other 3rd party agencies and contracts in own area of responsibility
• Continuously assess suppliers, for satisfactory quality, delivery and cost in relation to the needs of the organization
• Ensure reporting to CAA, any identified condition that seriously hazards the flight safety or is not compliant to the requirements/regulations
• Liaising with the Regulatory Authorities, aircraft manufacturers and other external entities as deemed operationally necessary
• Ensuring all staff has the necessary qualifications to perform their duties
• Ensure proper Passenger, Baggage Handling, Cargo and Mail Handling
• Ensure Aircraft Handling and Loading
• Secure supply of Ground and Cargo Support Equipment
• Management of Airside Safety Training
• Maintenance of an effective organization structure
• Ensuring the adequacy and supervision of Staff and provision of appropriate infrastructure
• Develop, maintain and evaluate standards, procedures and instructions for ground and cargo operations according to authority and company requirements
Qualifications and personality
• Stakeholder and Supplier management and cross functional leadership in a multinational environment
• Significant leadership and managerial experience at executive level and change management
• Capability to manage challenging negotiations and developing the business, ensuring sustainable and professional partners while securing SAS interest
• Practical experience and expertise in the application of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices
• Familiarity with Compliance Monitoring, Safety Management and Security Management Systems
• Comprehensive knowledge of applicable EASA regulations and any associated requirements and procedures
• Experience working with Emergency Response and Dangerous Goods Procedures
• Master’s degree level or equivalent
• 5 + years of relevant work experience
• Fluent in English, both verbally and written, Scandinavian language preferable but not required
The NPGO must be acceptable to the CAA and have managerial competency, comply with the requirements defined by EASA and Transportstyrelsen together with appropriate operational qualifications in aviation.
