Non-functional QA Test Engineer
The Nasdaq QA organization is continuing to expand in our Nordic technology center in Ume. With this position we offer:
The opportunity to work within a highly skilled and experienced product engineering team. You will belong to cross-functional scrum team consisting of Business Analysts, Software Engineers, and Test Engineers.
We are looking for someone who can bring expertise related to how to design and test our systems non-functional aspects, ensuring resiliency and performance.
Role and responsibilities:
Review business requirements, SLAs and hardware configuration specifications
Participate in system design activities related to both functional and non-functional aspects of the systems
Design, plan, coordinate, lead and test system conformance to Service Level Agreements
Tuning of system to ensure client performance expectations are met
Create test effort estimates, test plans, test specifications and test reports
Execute all types of tests in the non-functional area such as transaction latency, throughput, robustness, failover, operational tests, exploratory, etc.
Automation of non-Functional tests relating to performance and resilience
Troubleshoot and recreate reported issues
Provide reports from executed tests
We are looking for someone with:
A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
Several years of experience/knowledge in programming, testing tools and performance testing
Ability to build good relationships with peers, business partners, and other stakeholders
Experience in performance- and resiliency testing of software and infrastructure
Knowledge in scripting and programming inJava, Perl, Python, shell and similar script languages
Knowledge of Linux systems andadministration
It would be great if you have:
Experience working with financial systems especially trading/clearing/settlement systems
Experience from analysis, troubleshooting, and optimization on large scale enterprise systems
Ability to evaluate open source performance test tools and suggest suitable one for the application under test
Knowledge about Thread, Heap and Crash Dump analysis for performance tuning and bottleneck analysis
Knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL query plan and contention/locking analysis and tuning, ability to interpret AWR reports
