Nordic Nuclear Trainee Program
Nordic Nuclear Trainee Program (NNTP) is a unique opportunity for young talents. The program will give extensive skills and training for young nuclear professionals who are in the early stage of their career, and it will also offer a great possibility to build networks among nuclear professionals in the Nordic countries. Our offer to you as a Nordic Nuclear Trainee at Vattenfall
Nordic Nuclear Trainee Program is the kickstart of your career within Vattenfall. You are being offered a permanent employment and on top of that you will have the opportunity to develop your professional and personal skills over the course of 15 months. In the Nordic Nuclear Trainee Program you will take part in workshops and site visits during the seminar weeks. Between the seminar weeks, work rotations and project assignment, you will work with your colleagues in a regular position in the organization. Each position comes with a competitive salary and an excellent remuneration package.
Every trainee position is linked to a department within a specific business area and a working location. This means that each position has its own specific responsibilities and challenges and matching profile.
Your responsibilities as Decommissioning Engineer
Your main focus will be supporting the Ringhals 1 and 2 decommissioning projects, there will also be opportunities to engage in the projects at Ågesta and in Germany (Hamburg area). Nuclear Decommissioning is a developing area within Vattenfall and pose opportunities and challenges in planning and sustainable execution of large complex projects.
Key responsibilities:
• Take part in the decommissioning program for Ringhals 1 and 2
• Develop, implement and improve sustainable nuclear waste management and decommissioning planning within the projects
• Collaborate with internal and external partners and suppliers
Your profile
Whether you want a climate smarter career as a specialist, visionary manager or inspirational project lead in the nuclear industry, we offer you these possibilities within the Nordic Nuclear Trainee Program. We are looking for recent graduates holding a Master´s Degree of Science, with a maximum of 2 years' work experience from the nuclear industry. You are fluent in Swedish and English. Furthermore, you are willing to relocate for possible assignments throughout the organization. Of course you identify yourself with our principles: active, open, positive and safe.
You recognize yourself in the following qualifications:
• Education with specialization in chemistry, physics, logistics, radiation protection, energy systems or similar
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Independent working style
• Well above average learning ability and willingness
• Well organized and quality minded

Last day to apply is April 10th 2022. Selection period starts in week 15, followed by interviews in week 16-17. An assessment is also part of the recruitment process and will take place on May 5th.
