NPI Test Engineer Motorola

We are looking for a NPI Test Engineer for Motorola in Linköping. The Global Test team partners with design engineering to co-develop Connected Home Video products, build prototypes, deliver technologies, and transfer product/process recipes to mass production. The Test Engineering Group is primarily responsible for developing the manufacturing test solutions for new product designs. The Test Engineering Group insures that Design for Manufacturing Test (DFT) is incorporated into the initial product design. The manufacturing test solutions developed by the group are used for all prototype builds and are subsequently transferred to all CHS mass production manufacturing sites at product ship acceptance. The main components of the manufacturing test solution are the test software suite, the test system design, and the test fixture design. Scope of responsibilities and expectations for the position is to Serve as a Senior Test Engineer in the development of production test software, test equipment driver and debug processes for new products and releases to remote Motorola manufacturing sites or external contract manufacturing sites. Works independently with product hardware and software development engineers to develop and achieve manufacturing test improvement strategies that lead to continuous cost, productivity, and quality improvements. Works closely with mass production manufacturing sites to identify and incorporate their requirements into the initial product design and manufacturing test solution. Train external contract manufacturer technical personnel in the use and support of production test equipment, test programs, and/or debug processes for low to high complexity assemblies, and/or systems. Prioritize along critical path and meet project milestones and deliverables. Identify and implement plans aimed at improving product test process performance. Participate independently in engineering design reviews and drive the implementation of test methodologies and guidelines. Work with remote team of developers executing on implementing manufacturing test requirements. This includes integration of ATE as well as developing manufacturing test automation using LabVIEW, C, C++, CSharp. Required specific knowledge and skills for the position are 5+ years experience focused on remote external test development activities including Xray, ICT, ATE, and functional test automation. Technical knowledge in statistical methods, quality improvement, process characterization, and SPC methods. Experience with automation of RF testing using VSA, Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers and Video equipments Experience working with IP Set top Box Program Management experience focused on test development activities.
