Titel: Nurse

BASIC FUNCTION:
The Health Unit Nurse operates under the supervision of the Senior Nurse in position P50003, the Administrative Counselor (for management operational matters) and the Regional Medical Officer (RMO) for professional matters. The incumbent operates the Embassy Health Unit and conducts on-going orientation to local medical facilities; preventive health care including immunizations and fluoride supplements; referral to local physicians and facilities; arranging in-service and employment physical examinations, including pre-exam lab work.
Translates Swedish billing documents for American health insurance submissions. The Health Unit specifically is NOT a primary care facility; it does NOT provide on-premises physician services or after-hours emergency care.

Beskrivning av kvalifikationer:
Must meet standards for registered nurses in Western Europe. Knowledge of US standards is requried. A Bachelor s degree in Nursing or equivalent is required. Minimum of five years experience in an outpatient Clinic. Experience and education must be validated by the Regional Medical Office.

Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Must have full knowledge of USA standards of medical and nursing care. Must be able to counsel employees with physical or emotional/mental problems. Knowledge of emergency procedures in Sweden is desirable. Ability to maintain extensive liaison and to conduct orientations and briefings, orally and in writing.
