Building on Ericsson’s market-leading complete portfolio, the RAN market sees a clear drive towards functional disaggregation, and new technologies inspired by other industries like IT and cloud enter. New network deployment options and architectures are explored, their viability understood and some of these may form today’s and tomorrow’s network design.
The Network Architecture unit consists of senior technology and business leaders interacting with the larger Ericsson R&D and business community, and the market, to identify, refine and resolve network level architecture choices.
What you will do
* Drive network level architectural choices from a business and strategic impact perspective
* Work with network-level architecture plan and evolution including key interfaces
* Participate in architectural forum for BNEW
* Facilitate fact-based evaluation and prepare important network-level architecture decisions
* Contribute technology strategy and architecture evolution aspects to our strategy shaping Ericsson's business environment and ability to compete in the market

You will bring
* 15+ years of telecom R&D, product management and strategy experience to reach the needed credibility with the broader R&D community and senior stakeholders
* Ability to define, analyze and develop recommendations for critical architecture decisions
* Analytical and conceptual problem solving including the ability to handle ambiguous problem statements
* Ability to look beyond today and be able to concretely deliver on innovation
* Knowledge of IT industry technologies and ways of working including cloud
* Strategic and big-picture thinking, being able to deliver your contribution to network strategy
* Collaborate by default and work together rather than compete
* Outstanding presentation skills and solid ability to present to senior leadership
