We are Outbound Logistics and are part of the Supply Chain Management family and our mission is to design, implement, and operate the most optimized vehicle distribution network for the Volvo Car Group and strategic affiliates.

Position overview

As a Global Affiliate Manager within our outbound logistics organization, you will be the primary point of contact for affiliate brands (e.g., Polestar, Lynk&Co) and will be responsible for ensuring seamless communication and coordination to meet their distribution needs. You will play a pivotal role in coordinating and managing contracts, service requests related to the distribution of cars for multiple brands within our automotive group.
Your expertise in logistics, strategic thinking, leadership, and problem-solving skills will be instrumental in preserving the highest level of customer satisfaction and service excellence.

What you’ll do

* Affiliate Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with affiliate brands, acting as their dedicated point of contact for all distribution-related matters. Understand their specific requirements and work collaboratively to meet their needs.
* Service Request Handling: Coordinate, analyze and process service requests from affiliate brands and lead discussions with VCC and affiliates towards acceptance of proposed collaborations. Monitor internal teams to ensure an effective execution of the requests. Manage and resolve high-priority service request escalations and ensure that top management is informed and involved when necessary.
* Contract Coordination: Draft and update contracts and SLAs between VCC and its affiliates globally. 
* Resource planning: Annual planning to identify activities for the coming year and allow OBL/IDP to estimate the resource needs. Monitor resources allocated to additional service requests and execute invoicing hours.
* Problem Solving: Address any issues or challenges that may arise during the distribution process. Find effective solutions to ensure a smooth and on-time delivery to affiliate brands.
* Communication: Keep affiliate brands informed of the status of their service requests, provide regular updates, and address any inquiries or concerns promptly. Maintain clear and open communication channels.


What are we looking for?

For the role of Global Affiliate Manager, we are seeking an experienced professional with a passion for logistics and leadership, problem-solving, and relationship management skills. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:
* Extensive experience in finished vehicle logistics and global networks, including network design, car programs and launches and digital development.
* Leadership experience to manage escalations and maintain customer relationships.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with affiliate brands and top management.
* Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills to address escalations and make informed recommendations.
* Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and find practical solutions to complex issues.
* Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with affiliate brands.
* Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and be flexible in response to evolving business needs.


We believe you have:

* Relevant experience of at least +10 years in supply chain and logistics, and +3 in leadership positions in the automotive industry.
* Proved experience working in a multicultural environment.
* A proactive and solution-oriented approach to logistics and organizational challenges.
* Ability to work in and understand multiple systems and their interactions.
* Advanced project management skills and ability to prioritise in a high demanding area.
* Ability to develop and maintain cross-functional and global networks.
* Good communication and cooperative skills 
* Fluent in English (written/spoken)
