As Occupational Health and Safety Advisor, you will be part of HVDC’s Health, Safety and Environment department, focusing on daily specialist support and cooperation to HVDC Valve assembly department. Your main mission will be to develop and ensure a safe work environment in HVDC’s manufacturing facilities in Ludvika, Sweden. Moreover, you will secure continuous improvements within the Occupational Health and Safety field and cooperate with managers, safety delegates, Hitachi ABB Power Grids networks and authorities.
Your responsibilities
Take on an expert role in Occupational Health and Safety
Support the managers in the HVDC manufacturing facilities in risk assessments of workspaces, work tasks, tools, and coordination of common spaces
Train, coach and support the organization in Occupational Health and Safety issues
Develop and manage the Health, Safety and Environmental processes
Secure that we comply with laws, instructions and the new occupational Health and Safety management system
Support/ lead incident investigations and ensure implementation of improvement actions
Implement and follow-up Health and Safety related plans and initiatives
Work proactively, for example by analyzing and communicating lessons learned in the field of Occupational Health and Safety
Collaborate with internal Power Grids Health and Safety networks

Your background
You have a master's degree in a relevant area and have work experience as Occupational Safety/Health specialist, including training in Construction Work Environment Coordinator (Bas P/Bas U)
It is an advantage if you have working experience from coordinating common spaces, risk assessments of tools, machines, working at heights and organizational changes
Experience of working with proactive initiatives and projects creating a safer work environment for employees in assembly and experience from ergonomic initiatives is valued
In-depth knowledge and an understanding of international, EU and Swedish legislation in terms of Occupational Health and Safety
You are proficient both in Swedish and in English, able to work independently as well as in groups and you should enjoy working with people
