Sandvik Mining and Construction (SMC) is a business area within the Sandvik Group and a leading global supplier of equipment, cemented-carbide tools, services and technical solutions for the excavation and sizing of rock and minerals in the mining and construction industries.Annual sales 2009 amounted to about SEK 32.6 Bn, with approximately 14,400 employees.Within SMC there are three customer segments: Underground Mining, Surface Mining and Construction.The Construction segment targets business opportunities within select core customer application areas including: Quarrying, Tunneling, Civil Engineering and Demolition & Recycling.We are now looking for an Offering Development Manager.Key performance areas Specifically the responsibility includes working with the Construction and SMC teams (in particular the product line manager teams) as well as our focus customers and distributors to: -Drive the Construction segment strategic offering development planning and activities to support continuous profitable growth -Recommend product offering portfolio development and expansion priorities -Give input to, and participate in the approval of, relevant product line R&D development priorities -Help ensure continued strengthening and development of competitive aftermarket offerings for the Construction segment, in close collaboration with the Aftermarket Offering Manager and team -Help develop "total solution offerings" which include products and services from many product lines -Help appoint, train and work with the Customer Application Managers (CAMs) in reviewing and prioritizing what product, service and solutions offerings to develop and strengthen -Monitor "long-term" trends and needs affecting the product offering for our focus customers -Support the review and prioritization of offering requests from the front line -Recommend which non-strategic non-value-added offerings to exit -Work with Business Development to review non-organic business development opportunities The job location would either be at the global Construction headquarters in Singapore or at one of Construction's supply facilities in China, Sweden, Finland or UK.Your profile The successful candidate has relevant educational background in engineering, marketing and/or business studies on a university level and work experience from marketing, product line management and/or offering development in a medium to large international organization.Experience from the construction equipment industry is also required.An international background and documented success from change management, as well as from offering development, marketing and training, is preferred.You have a strong business mindset, sound knowledge of the construction market and an interest in customer focused offering development.You should be analytical, structured and methodical and a team player, driven and energetic, with good leadership skills.Humility and listening skills are essential.Experience from a global organization with complex products and strategic marketing is desired.
