Job Description
As an Omni Demand & Supply Merchandiser at Weekday you take the lead on the OMNI short and long-term buying strategy for Weekday CX. You are a part of growth for Weekday by optimizing our customer offer and forecasting to maximize sales in both existing channels and expansion endeavors.
Your main responsibilities will include and not be limited to:
Drive profitable and sustainable growth to maximize the selling:
Responsible for Ad hoc analysis to identify selling potential and strengthen the customer offer by landing Commercial Plan into buying strategy
Work closely with Head of Merchandising, Controlling and Assortment Office to align on bought equation and goals that support Weekday’s profitable growth
Initiate actions with merchandising team, securing balance between top-down vs bottom-up perspective, to give input on income strategy, stock balance, buying levels and accurate sales plan
Create the best customer offer
Develop methods and tools for the collaboration between Assortment and Merchandising, to drive growth for planning markets and marketplaces. Also be involved in leveraging customer insights for assortment to optimize mix per channel
Being aware of the channels and the markets such as price, quantity level, macro-economic factors, and retail situation
Maximize both existing markets and expansion endeavors like new stores and marketplaces
Responsible for driving %market in buying method to secure stock balance and determine what buying changes are needed for new projects or store expansion
Forecast potential on marketplaces to follow up on what quantification we need to drive in both of our channels and maximize in season selling potential for wholesale to meet partner demands
Provide analysis to retail experience to maximize space in store to provide space for services and projects
Qualifications
As a successful Omni Demand and Supply Merchandiser, we believe that you have the strategic orientation to focus on the big picture and handle complexity. You analyze from multiple perspectives and can produce innovative ideas and techniques. You are result oriented and can make prompt decisions and win people over.
To be successful in this role, we see that you have:
At least 2-3 years of experience within merchandising, controlling or similar
Experience of merchandising from both retail and e-commerce business is highly meritorious
Experience of informal leadership, with the ability to set the right priorities for yourself and lead others to do so too
Experience in Power BI, Excel, Multi Season Tool or Bono/%admin tool is meritorious, along with an eagerness to learn new systems
Good communications skills, with fluency in English both verbal and written
Additional information
This is a permanent position primarily based in Stockholm with remote work as an option to be discussed on a case-by-case basis, starting as soon as possible and you will be reporting to the Global Omni Head of Merchandising.
