What are we looking for?
You, who is our future System Architect, is driven by interactions and cares about our users’ perspective. We think you have a background as a software developer, and understand the importance of software design and architecture as basis for software quality and as an enabler for fast feedback about the overall solution perfromance. The main responsibility is to own and drive system design as well as setting the architectural roadmap and development paths for the onboard system for autonomous vehicles.
We are looking for you who know how to work in a more strategic and tactical way and to keep our software architecture aligned with emerging needs as well as our day-to-day operations. In this role you will need to skilfully facilitate workshops and other big room meetings, especially online meetings. You will need to apply your technical skills both for system interfaces and system concepts like redundancy as well as in detail like sensor data processing and performance.
As a person you are pragmatic and can handle most situations, persons and technical dilemmas. You apply a holistic perspective to problem solving and keep the needs of the end user and operations team in focus.
You have a solid technical education and have been working with software development for embedded systems. You have been recognized as a pragmatic and skilled technical leader by your colleagues.
Your team
Your team is working with operational leadership and technology management for the new Autonomous onboard systems for all our self-driving buses and trucks. Every day you serve 150+ developers in a cutting-edge environment. The Onboard leadership team is currently 5 persons spanning the roles of system architect, release train engineer and product manager. Your immediate colleagues will be supporting to set the direction for our system design and leading both technology and people.
