Purpose of the job :

The Onboard Technical Authority is responsible for ensuring the operational performance of the Onboard platform. He understands how the Onboard platform is used in the different Onboard applications and the specific technical requirements of the Onboard applications on the platform.
Is accountable for signing off the technical part of the roadmap, ensuring consistency with the strategy and the technical requirements from the applications.
The Onboard Technical Authority aligns with the applications on return of experience to drive the continuous improvement process.

Main responsibilities

Major technical decisions,
Definition of necessary actions to tackle issues,
Prioritize nonconformity reports for corrections,
Review, verify and agree to specific design decisions,
Operational performance of the technical platform


Competencies & Skills

Experience from Rail is desired
Bachelor or master’s in Computer science or Electrical Engineering
At least 10 years of experience with complex distributed computer systems
Good knowledge of the onboard system, including ATP, I\O, odometry and balise transmission
Deep understanding of EBICab is considered and advantage
Good understanding of different kinds of computer networks
Experience with managing without formal power
Experience with operating in a Matrix organization
Excellent interpersonal skills - communication, teamwork, flexibility
The ability to take foreign business trips (mainly Europe).
