Your mission
We are looking for someone who will be responsible for taxes in Global Online Business (GOB) in the European markets. You will be part of commercial discussions to make sure we define customer offers that are optimal and correct from a tax perspective. Further, you need to ensure that our systems handle tax correctly why you will be working closely with our Product Owners and operational teams, e.g. related to customer billing, market specific governmental benefits and car taxes. Another key stakeholder is Volvo Cars Group Tax, whom you will support in various matters, e.g. to ensure that we apply Transfer Pricing models correctly. When we need external support from tax advisors or tax authorities, you handle the communication and drive those projects.

In addition, you will;
• Be responsible for how to handle consumer and car taxes in Global Online Business and yearly review the set up.
• Be single point of contact towards Volvo Cars Tax, align complex matters and provide input to Volvo Car Tax, e.g. related to transfer pricing.
• Drive and keep track of outstanding tax questions and their status in various matters, e.g. queries to external consultants, requests to tax authorities etc.
• Project lead tax initiatives, e.g. VAT change in Germany, from a process and system perspective.
• Provide digital requirements and perform UAT related to tax.
• Proactively work with Global Online Business Commercial and Pricing teams on the optimal set up of the customer offer, e.g. related to incentives.
Who you are
You have Bachelor’s in business, economics, law or similar, a minimum of 5 years’ experience in relevant tax/accounting roles with the ability to create clarity and show courage with a proven successful track record. You have experience from global online consumer business as well as experience from financial systems. You are fluent in English (verbal and written), have high ambitions, can manage multiple stakeholders and find an entrepreneurial company mindset where we pragmatically get things done motivating.
