EES MP has an inspiring Project Program ongoing with new generation(s) of Electronic Hardware (ECUs) and new Software Frameworks(s). We are providing the basic foundation for the complete VCE machine range, we offer you a chance to work globally and cross functionally within Volvo CE.
We are now looking for an Open Source Software Engineer (OSS), you will join a team that develops and maintains the software frameworks, which are used in many of Volvo CE products.
In our environment, you will find and work with: C++, Python, and other supporting SW tools

You have professional experience within the OSS domain and programming languages mentioned above, and you can use them in an effective way in your everyday job, and you are comfortable to work and communicate closely in a team environment.
Job tasks, example
Drive the Open Source Software strategy implementation/execution within Volvo CE
Implement and execute Open Source tools like Black Duck to find 3rd part SW within the SW development projects
Support the Volvo CE organization with knowledge and experience in regards what is required to be successful with an Open Source initiative
Experience and Qualifications
Relevant academic background, e.g. M.Sc or B.Sc in Software development or Computer Engineering, or equivalent technical field of study.
Strong leadership skills
Previous work experience in the OSS domain.
Experience with tool and processes within the OSS domain
Fluent in Swedish and English (written and spoken)
