Operational Buyer
OptiCept Technologies AB (publ) provides the food and plant industry with technological solutions that contribute to a more sustainable world and enable climate-smart economic growth. OptiCept optimizes biological processes - Increased extraction from raw material, extended shelf life, reduced waste, and improved quality (taste, aroma, color, nutritional content) of the final product.
The positive effects of technology increase efficiency for our customers, better products for the consumers, and minimal impact on our environment. Through patented technology in PEF (pulsed electric field) and VI (Vacuum Infusion), the technology opens up new business opportunities for the food and plant industry worldwide. OptiCept's vision is to contribute to a sustainable world by offering efficient green cutting-edge technology that is easy to use in the areas of FoodTech and PlantTech.
Our manufacturing is outsourced as is much of our service process. This means we rely heavily on out business partners and suppliers. As an operational buyer you will handle day to day contact with our suppliers, often solving problems of late material, or quality issues, or documentation. You will also help with spare parts and service order management.
Responsibilities
Place purchase orders and follow up on deliveries.
Shipping and order handling
Goods receiving
Spare part order management and shipping
Service order management and invoicing
Support Project Managers and Process Engineers in the field with parts and information.


Your work will be primarily from our offices in Lund. Some limited travelling to mostly local suppliers, why a drivers license is required.
You report to the directly to the head of Supply Chain and will work closely with Operations, Sales and Development.
Qualifications
We are working at the forefront with breakthroughs, introducing cutting-edge technology on the market.
Not your typical 9-5 – quite the opposite. Your attitude and ability to learn is far more important than your education.
We are looking for a person with a gymnasium, vocational school or pre university education. You can have a few years’ experience or come directly from school.
We have customers and suppliers in Europe, Asia, Africa, South America, why both English and Swedish are a requirement. You speak and write English at a near fluency level. Proficiency in other languages such as Italian, Spanish or Greek is meriting. French would be very meriting.
As a person you are curios and like technology, are easy to get along with and very well organized. Much of your work will be done in various Microsoft software such as excel, sharepoint and business central, so proficiency in general office software is important.
