PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Organize and be responsible for purchasing materials from suppliers and ensure delivery of the material on time. Through well-planned and completed purchases, ensure a high level of service to production and / or end customers and at the same time contribute to improved costs, lead times and inventory optimization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Create purchase orders in SAP and dispatch in SAP and to counter-suppliers defined by Sourcing.
Ensure that materials are delivered on time.
Monitoring suppliers performance over QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) is a priority.
Monitor and proactively work to identify any future delivery problems and continuously update the rest of the SC organization on any future material shortages.
Be a support in the interface towards suppliers and Financially drive improvement points within the process.
Actively participate on a daily basis in solving any identified material deficiencies.
Monitor supplier performance OTIF and drive improvement measures based on OTIF.
Work with continuous improvement and actively pursue competence development in this area.
In the event of a delegation from Sourcing: Responsible for updating and maintaining supplier data in SAP.
In the event of a delegation from Sourcing: Negotiate agreements and terms with suppliers.
Perform tasks in accordance with orders from the immediate supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
University education in purchasing / logistics or equivalent experience
Knowledge of laws and regulations regarding purchasing
Language: Fluent Swedish, English, speech and writing
Experience of working with ERP systems (SAP merit)
Experience of purchasing and the purchasing process
IT skills and knowledge of the Office package, mainly Excel & Word
Good planning and organizational skills
Able to handle multiple issues / problems at the same time and have a sense of priority
Capable of building a good relationship with suppliers with regard to delivery in accordance with Alstom's regulations
