Arbetsbeskrivning

As an operational buyer you are responsible for using of professional purchasing practices & techniques and ensure parts/services/goods availability (PR=product related) while maintaining overall cost and inventory at the lowest level and highest quality (TCO). Also, you will maintain daily contact with suppliers to ensure supplier quality and on-time-delivery, you will align with Global Procurement on the strategic Supplier panel as well as for the scope in regional responsibility with internal stakeholders of Regional Commodity Management.
Your Tasks:
Order management
Issue purchase orders according to actual demand from production or customer
Ensure material delivery on time in accordance with agreed terms and conditions
Ensure JIT (Just in Time)
Analyse and monitor parts to ensure coverage to meet production schedule/customer demand.
Expedite suppliers to ensure delivery of purchase parts on time

Material cost reduction follow up
Secure delivery according to negotiated GTC
Order processing with negotiated prices

Improve OTD (expediting)
Follow up on delivery schedule
Proactive expediting
Order acknowledgement expediting
If changes to requirement from production or customer, negotiate new delivery schedule with supplier.

Handling RFQs
Sending RFQs to suppliers based on current demand
Updating the system with new pricing, most economic purchase volume etc
Work pro-actively with price lists on a yearly basis

Supplier Management - be first person of contact to a given number of suppliers with the following responsibilities:
Price lists
Coordinate material demand across service lines
Update supplier contact details
Follow up on OTD, Quality, claims etc



Qualifications
• 1-3 years of purchasing/logistic experience
• Good Excel and data management skills
• Customer, target and performance oriented
• Knowledge of train parts and relevant rail network is a strong advantage
• Problem solving abilities
• English and Swedish fluency is a must; any other language would be an advantage
