About the position
We are looking for an Operation Buyer to our customer, a successful and fast-growing electric car company. This position is placed in Gothenburg.
Your daily tasks
In this role, your days will revolve around support the Indirect Purchasing management team and buyers for daily activities. This is what you can look forward to:
Support the Indirect Purchasing management team and buyers for daily activities.
Support with onboarding of new employees
Perform and support procurement according to defined strategies and frameworks in everything from Digital to HR.
Advise stakeholders on procurement issues, providing support and guidance at all stages of the procurement cycle as well as on modifications in requests. Improve collaboration with stakeholders and together towards common goals.
Track key performance indicators on supplier and stakeholder contract compliance; define and take corrective actions to improve contracts compliance and continuously track supplier performance on quality and cost.
Perform necessary market analysis to support the sourcing activity.
Create and maintain commercial relations with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Initiate and conduct supplier evaluations and supplier audits.
Support the team by solving deviations, system issues and looking for constant improvement in the processes to facilitate and enhance performance in the team.
Support sustainability supplier assessment aiming for compliance of the supplier base to Polestar’s values and sustainability goals is a plus.
Contract administration.

Understand services to be sourced
Prepare the potential supplier list and present the list to stakeholders
On board suppliers after supplier selection
Maintenance of the supply base and supplier set up.
Place purchasing orders, make change orders and follow up payments.
Responsible for meeting minutes and follow up necessary actions.

We are looking for someone who has great organizational skills. You enjoy being the spider in the web with all the various administrational tasks. You master working in many projects at the same time, no matter the pace. We also believe that you have a great service mind and can communicate in a skillful way. Lastly, you are flexible in the sense of changing your way of working – in order to find the best solution.

Requirements
Educational background in business, administration, finance, purchasing or similar
A minimum of 3 years of work experience in Indirect Purchasing (Preferably within the automotive industry)
Highly skilled in MS Office especially Excel.
Fluent in English both written and spoken
Meritorious
Fluent in Swedish or any other European language
Experience of working in purchase-/administrative tools & systems preferably SRM, Fieldglass and/or Workday is a great advantage
Contract type and hours
Full time. Consulting assignment for 6 months. Start 2022-05-15.
