We are looking for an Operational Excellence Manager to be based at our office in Lund, Sweden. You will be the driver of Operational Excellence implementation in Straw Business globally and become member of the Straw Business management team. In addition you will be a member of Additional Materials drive team for Operational Excellence implementation. In this role you will work strategically as well as operationally with our straw factories, Industrial Base Management and Development functions of Straw Business as well as with our suppliers and customers. You will have collaboration with many Tetra Pak organisations in the context of Operational Excellence implementation and control.
The position requires 50-60 days of travel per year and will bring opportunity to develop and get exposure to straw business in a truly multi-cultural and multi-location environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Drive and coordinate the Operational Excellence, WCM and TQM implementation globally
- Lead improvements in quality systems, issue resolution, food safety and OHS globally
- Stimulate change, motivate and empower people through positive attitude
- Provide audits, trainings and methodological support to pillars and teams
- Define best practices and facilitate cross-fertilization between the different organisations
- Provide and follow up internal / external bench-marking of KPI's
- Support Tetra Laval risk reviews, contingency assessments and planning
- Coordinate and drive environmental improvements
- Act as Accident and Incident champion for Straw Business
Qualifications
You are a high performing team player who openly shares knowledge with your colleagues. You have the ability to inspire others with your enthusiasm, exchanging information and supporting colleagues to achieve personal and team goals. You are analytical with a holistic approach, systematic in problem definition and solving with the ability to transfer long term strategies and plans into mid/short term actions. You are a good communicator, with strong presentation skills. You will be expected to lead initiatives and drive multiple activities independently.
You have experience in coordinating team activities and project management. You have experience of auditing, proven record of change management and informal leadership in successfully applying WCM principles/methods during a number of years. Experience in improvement methodologies and quality systems i.e. Kaizen, 6 Sigma, Lean or TQM is beneficial. We believe the successful candidate has a University degree in Engineering. System skills as i.e. SAP, BW, and Minitab are valuable. A very good command of English, both written and oral is required.
