We are looking for an Operational Excellence Manager for Operations Sweden to ensure our organization is operating efficiently and effectively and we are putting adequate focus on development and improvement of processes.

Main accountabilities
The OPEX manager will establish a cross-functional improvement network throughout Operations Sweden, focusing on key processes in all operational and business areas and driving optimization in the same. The role will report to the VP of Operations Sweden but is a function available to all processes that require improvements based on priorities established by the Operations Sweden management team.

About you
The successful candidate will have the skills necessary to build a culture of continuous improvement and supports the education of key personnel to Six sigma level.
Data collection and analysis, collaborative investigation and problem solving will greatly support improvements in quality and other area of the business and establish robust and improved ways of working. Communicate and visualize successes so the organization is vital to foster a culture of improvement and change. In a global organization it is as well important to communicate successes to other plants and functions.

You like the following challenges

Analyzing data to identify operational trends and opportunities for improvement
Developing and implementing new processes and procedures to improve operational efficiency with a particular focus on quality
Coordinating with other departments within the organization to ensure successful implementation of initiatives
Leading initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency and reducing costs
Preparing reports on operational performance, including benchmarks against industry standards or best practices
Motivating employees to improve performance by fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and change
Develop a group of people throughout the organisation to Six Sigma methodology
Involvement in capital investment of new equipment purchases to improve efficiency
Your profile

Educated to six sigma black belt level but to a minimum the interest and willingness to complete a on-the-job training while performing the function
Technical background in a production or engineering environment
Practical experience in an operational area such as production, laboratory, supply chain or quality
Ability to coach people and develop a culture of continues improvement and change
Minimum of 5 – 7 years relevant experience in problem solving, operational data analysis
Strong personality, goal driven, problem solver and ability to deliver results
Several years of leadership experience and the ability to bring the right people together
MS Office Suite (including advanced Excel skills and data analysis skills)
Fluent in English and good skills regarding executive writing and oral presentations
About the role
The position is initially a temporary employment with a view to become permanent employment if both parts agree after 6 months. The positions are placed in Uppsala.
